ABOUT

I'm an amateur photographer from Norway. I've always been interested in photography, but my interest really evolved while I was a student. I bought my first camera and spent hours in the darkroom. After the studies, there was for some reason a long period without photography. Luckily this changed again when I got my first handy X100T. The last years my interest in photography has grown and I feel that my skills have developed as well. For a period I shared my photos in a blog, but in recent years it has only been through Instagram.

I've always had a sweet spot for black and white photography and that's what I've done most, especially street photography. The most interesting thing is still documentary photography and I notice that I am constantly moving more and more in that direction. The notebook is full of ideas.

WHY MITTENED HANDS?

The expression was found in the book “A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian” written by Marina Lewycka. As a Norwegian I’m used to long, snowy and cold winters, and mittens are without a doubt a necessity. I had never heard this expression in english before and I have carried it with me since I first read it back in 2009. I thought that the expression was an excellent band name, but since I never managed to form a band I had to use it somewhere else. As some of you know it’s quite hard to do things properly wearing mittens….
